I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist with a practice in Bromley.
Are you looking for a safe confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings? I offer a non-judgemental empathic place for you to talk about what feels important to you. Finding the therapist that is right for you can be a confusing process and you may not know what it is you want or are looking for, which is okay. The relationship between you and your therapist is key to you achieving what you want and need from your time together.
My practice is conveniently located on the A21 south of Bromley, and within easy reach of surrounding towns such as Orpington, West Wickham and Biggin Hill.
What is Counselling/Therapy and How Can it Help?
It is a safe, contained and confidential space for you to speak openly and honestly about what is going on for you.
It is a place to gain awareness and understanding about who you are and why you do what you do.
It involves the therapist supporting and walking alongside you and empowering you to make decisions about your life.

Working on a short, medium or long-term basis, I have extensive experience both as a volunteer and in the private sector working with adults with a wide range of presenting issues, including : Anxiety, Loneliness, Depression, Anger, Stress, Bullying, Eating Disorders, Relationships, Family and Childhood, Sexual Abuse, Shame, Trauma and PTSD, Self-Esteem, Low Confidence, Bereavement and Loss.
I am a member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis). I work in accordance with the Codes of Ethics and Professional Practice of these professional bodies. As a part of my continuing professional development I have regular supervision with other experienced professional UKCP psychotherapists and engage in regular training.
How I Work
My approach is relational, focusing on our relationship, and is at the heart of the work we do together in understanding historical patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving and how they impact you in the present.
The number of sessions will be based upon what you feel you need and this can be worked out together. I offer both Counselling and Psychotherapy. The difference being that Counselling tends to be short to medium term working in the here-and-now with less complex issues.
Psychotherapy is medium to long-term and involves working in greater depth with more deep-rooted issues and patterns of relating from the past and therefore more complex issues. Both Counselling and Psychotherapy are closely related and are both ‘Talking Therapies’ they both involve the therapist walking alongside the client as an empathic, non-judgemental listener, supporting and empowering the client in making decisions for themselves about their life.
How to Make that First Step
It can be scary when you take that first step towards finding support and help. To make it easier, I offer a free 15 minute phone call where together, we can discuss how I might help you and whether you would like to meet. Our first meeting is offered at a reduced price and is an opportunity for you to explore what is going on for you and what you hope to achieve in therapy with me.
