About

I am trained in Transactional Analysis (TA) and hold a UKATA Diploma in TA Practice and I am a Registered Member of the BACP.  I have completed 4 years of post-graduate Advanced Clinical Training in TA.  My approach is ‘relational’ whereby our relationship is an important part of the work we do together in bringing to the surface unconscious patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving and empowering change.

We will work collaboratively at your pace to understand your frame of reference and how you see yourself in the world.   I work on a short, medium or long-term basis with individuals and I have extensive experience both as a volunteer and in the private sector working with Adults with a wide range of presenting issues:

  • Bereavement and loss
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Loneliness
  • Anxiety
  • Anger & Stress
  • Depression
  • Bullying
  • Shame
  • Eating disorders
  • Abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationship problems
  • Family and childhood issues
  • Low self-confidence

I am a member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis), EATA (European Association of Transactional Analysis) and the ITAA (International Transactional Analyst Association.  I work in accordance with the Codes of Ethics and Professional Practice of these professional bodies. As a part of my continuing professional development I have regular supervision with other experienced professional UKCP psychotherapists and engage in regular training.
